Hi, I'm Jon. I've had two hair transplants, and the first one went wrong, so I know how daunting this can feel. I check every clinic I work with myself, from small boutique clinics to larger ones, and before you book, you'll know whether a doctor or a technician is doing each part of your procedure. I'm with you from your first question until twelve months after your treatment.

The Problem I Kept Running Into

There are thousands of clinics in Turkey. It's hard to know who to trust.

Turkey does more hair transplants than anywhere else, and there are some very good surgeons there. But there are so many clinics that even people who cover this industry professionally can't agree how many clinics operate there.

That makes it really hard to know who's good, and a lot of people only find out after they've paid who actually did their procedure.

This is exactly why I check every clinic myself, big or small, and why I make sure you can answer the most important question: who is actually treating me. Is it a doctor or a technician? You'll have that in writing before you book a flight.

What matters most to me is how a clinic looks after its patients, so every clinic needs to meet these four things before I'll work with them.

Before you commit, you'll know in writing whether a doctor or a technician is doing each part. If a clinic lets you pay extra for the surgeon to do more, I'll let you know the price.

Their licence, checked by me

I check each clinic's licence with the regulator myself, so you don't have to take their word for it.

Written

Aftercare in writing

You'll get written aftercare instructions before you fly, and I'll still be checking in with you once you're home.

How It Works

Nothing is paid until you've seen a quote and said yes.

I'm with you every step of the way, and you can stop at any time before the deposit without owing anything.

We'll have a chat about your hair and whether surgery is right for you. If it isn't, I'll be honest and tell you.

You get a written quote

I match you with the clinic and organise your quote. It comes in writing and includes who will be treating you.

You decide

If you're happy with everything, you can book your flights and pay the deposit. It's important to know that results take around a year to fully come through.

Your price Personal to you

Your price depends on how many grafts you need and which clinic you go with, so I'll talk it through with you on your free call. You'll always get it in writing before you decide anything, so there are no surprises. It includes your hotel, airport and clinic transfers, and aftercare, so really all you need to sort out is your flights.

Your Trip

Most people are only in Istanbul for three days.

Travelling abroad for this can feel like a big step, so here's what a typical trip looks like. It can vary a little between clinics, and I'll go through yours with you before you book.

Day 1

You arrive

Usually, someone from the clinic meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to settle in.

Day 2

Procedure day

You meet the doctor, discuss the treatment and decide on your hairline together. Then you have your procedure. It takes most of the day, and you're awake the whole time.

Day 3

Check-up, then home

The clinic checks everything is healing well, shows you how to wash your hair properly and answers any questions. Then you fly home with your aftercare plan in writing.

And you're never on your own. You can message me anytime, before you go, while you're there, and once you're home.

The other side of it

When it works, it's worth it.

I know most of this site tells you to slow down and ask questions, and I stand by that. But my second transplant worked, and I'm really glad I did it.

It is smaller than the adverts suggestNobody treats you differently. Nothing about your life changes. The transformation stories are overdone and you are right to be sceptical of them.

And bigger than you expectI stopped checking mirrors. I stopped managing photographs and choosing where to stand. I got back the attention I had been quietly spending on hiding it.

Both cost about the same. The big difference was that the second time, I knew what to ask.
